Our expert team can help you select the ring that is suited to your unique tastes in a way that symbolises the unique union you share with your beloved.
When selecting your ring, it all starts with the four C’s:
Colour is graded on a letter scale from “D” to “Z,” with a D-diamond being colourless – the best – working its way towards Z as more colour, which is present because of greater proportions of non-carbon trace minerals.
Clarity refers to the number of blemishes and irregularities found inside a diamond. Many of these blips can’t be seen by the naked eye or even by amateur jewellers with a magnifier—but they all affect the stone’s value. A diamond with perfect clarity that is free of inclusions and blemishes is deemed “FL”, or flawless.
Cut refers to how well a diamond’s facets interact with light, or simply, how it sparkles. Cuts include; Excellent, Very Good, Fair and Poor.
Carat is the unit of weight for diamonds. One carat equals 200 milligrams, so, the bigger the diamond, the more carats.
Definitions can only get you so far, what do we do with this information? What would be the perfect ring in terms of the 4 c’s? The perfect diamond ring would look like this:
- Colour: finest D
- Cut: Excellent, FL
- Diamond: 2 Carat
How to determine her unique style
For those that have a never-ending supply of money may ask for the perfect diamond, however, on a more realistic level, it is about striking a balance between the four C’s. Depending on your partners style you may opt for a bigger diamond with a subsequent higher carat, and sacrifice in other areas such as the colour. It all depends on your partner’s style. To help you in this area, try and look to the rings she already has to get an idea of her taste, or ask a trustworthy friend of hers to help you ring shopping. While you are looking to her current ring set, see if you can obtain one that she isn’t wearing to determine her ring size.
While we can definitely help you find the perfect ring, the proposal and popping the actual question is left to you. Make it unique, from the heart, and be sure you are aware of what to avoid – not all women want to see you down on one knee in a crowded restaurant – match the perfect proposal with the perfect ring for the best result.
